Radiology

Digital images obtained from systems that operate entirely with digital technology are archived in a digital environment. Compared to images obtained using conventional methods, these images are more detailed, require less time to examine, and are more sufficient for diagnosis. These images are examined by experienced specialist doctors at special workstations. All the possibilities available in the Radiology Department today, namely:

  • Digital X-ray
  • Digital fluoroscopy,
  • 4D ultrasound,
  • Digital mammography,
  • Ultrasonography + Doppler Ultrasonography,
  • Multi-Detector Computed Tomography (16 slices),
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (1.5 tesla),
  • Interventional Radiology,

PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), are available in our hospital’s Radiology Department.

Digital Radiological Examinations

All direct images are obtained digitally, and all types of routine direct images and special direct examinations are performed. In addition, portable radiography services are provided to inpatients at the hospital when deemed necessary.

Our equipment:

Ce MR Resonance (1.5 Tesla)
Ge BT Multislice (16 slices)
Ge Digital X-ray (2 units)
Digital Ge Mammography
Lunar Bone Densitometry

Digital Skopi Reviews

Advanced examinations such as urological radiological examinations under fluoroscopy, HSG, and ERCP performed under scoping control can be performed.

Digital Mammography Examinations

Digital mammography, a new technology in breast imaging, has become the primary diagnostic method for breast disease diagnosis and breast cancer screening. Unlike conventional mammography, images are obtained in a digital environment using electronic sensors. These images are then examined on high-resolution special monitors. Post-processing operations such as magnification, measurement, and contrast adjustment can be performed independently of the X-ray dose used.

Advantages of Digital Mammography:

The examination time is short. Images can be viewed on the screen within 1 minute after the scan. Information about the adequacy of the images is available.
The radiation dose is lower than that of conventional mammography.
Contrast resolution is higher than in conventional mammography. Microcalcifications and small lesions can be more easily distinguished. Lesions can be evaluated in three dimensions. This facilitates the evaluation of dense and fibrocystic breast tissue in particular. Breast cancer and detected lesions are subjected to a more detailed scan.
Stereotactic biopsy and marking procedures are performed under mammography guidance. Vacuum biopsy is typically used in cases of microcalcifications that are not visible on ultrasound and where more tissue is required for diagnosis. More tissue can be obtained in a shorter time, significantly increasing the likelihood of an accurate diagnosis. The risk of complications is very low because any bleeding is suctioned out.
Again, the lesion is marked with a wire before the operation to ensure that the entire lesion is removed.
The images are archived digitally and can be transferred digitally.

Ultrasonography, 4D Ultrasound, and Doppler Ultrasonography Examinations

The high resolution of advanced ultrasound devices provides excellent image quality and diagnostic ease. We provide services with our renewed ultrasound devices in specially prepared rooms. All ultrasound examinations and interventional procedures accompanied by ultrasound are performed in our department.

Our devices: 3 Ge brand Ultrasound and Doppler Ultrasound devices.

Computed Tomography Examinations

In our current IT system, large areas of the body can be examined at much higher resolution in a very short time with very thin slices, allowing all thoracic and abdominal examinations to be completed in a single breath hold.

The entire lung can be scanned in as little as 5-6 seconds with thin slices of 0.6 mm. This enables the early diagnosis of lung diseases and lung cancer. Using specially developed CT scans, nodules related to the lungs can be easily detected, and the imaging and evaluation of nodules that may be lung cancer are facilitated, allowing cancer screening programs to be applied to healthy individuals using very low doses of radiation.

In summary,

Faster scans, higher resolution, and 3D imaging,
High-quality CT angiography (cerebral, carotid, aortography, peripheral angiography),
Calcium scoring,
Volumetry,
Ability to scan large areas of the body in a short time,
Determining the etiology in patients presenting to the emergency department with chest pain (early diagnosis of aortic dissection, pulmonary embolism, etc.),

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Our MRI system has been upgraded with the latest technological advances, including a 1.5 Tesla Signa Explorer Ge MRI device. Equipped with sufficient and specialized coils and programs for each region, this device allows for:

Examinations of the head region, including the brain, eyes, inner ear and ear structures, pituitary gland, jaw joint, and cerebral artery and vein systems,
The neck structure, larynx, pharynx, salivary glands, tongue, and surrounding structures,
The lungs, heart, and major vessels related to the heart,
Abdominal organs, lower abdomen,
Neck, back, and lumbar spine pathologies,
Evaluation of limbs and joints such as the shoulder, arm, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, thigh, knee, leg, ankle, and foot, as well as standard examinations:
Whole-body angiography
MR spectroscopy,
Cranial and abdominal diffusion imaging,
Perfusion MRI,
MRCP, MR pyelography, and MR myelography.
CSF flow study,
